Smooth Infusion

I am always testing new hair products and my recent favorite for the summer is from Aveda.  It is their Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother ($24 www.aveda.com).  In the summer I have to battle the humidity especially when I straighten my hair.  This product helps defend against humidity for up to 12 hours!  I put this on wet hair after I put on all my other styling products and use a wide tooth comb to get this distributed evenly throughout my hair.  Then I blow dry and use my flat-iron as needed.  Your hair is smooth and sleek for the whole day!  I wash my hair every other day and this product does not make your hair feel oily or heavy.  You can definitely go without washing your hair and feel comfortable.  I did have to get used to the smell.  Most Aveda products come from plants and they smell very “earthy”, they don’t smell bad, but I am one of those girls that loves floral “girly” smells so this took some getting used too.  The good thing is the smell goes away so you don’t smell it on your hair all day.  Other people I know that use it love the smell because it is that natural citrus “woodsy” smell…”to each their own” as I say.  In any case, if you fight humidity or just want to get your dry hair looking smooth, give this a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Perfect Lashes Everytime

Ok, I told you about my favorite drugstore mascara, but I haven’t told you about my ultimate favorite mascara, the one that I can not live with out!  I have tried all the mascara’s in the department store and the one that is by far the best is Chanel Inimitable Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel ($30 www.chanel.com).  In one stroke on your lashes this mascara separates and covers them all perfectly from root to tip!!  It plumps and curls the lashes  and does this all without any clumping!  I can not express how beautiful this mascara makes your lashes look!  The wand is so slender and it just separates each lash perfectly!  I use the regular version but you can also get it in waterproof.  I use black noir and it is perfect!  I can’t express how much this product saves me on time in the morning!  One quick sweep of the lashes and they are done!  This completes every makeup look and makes your eyeshadow pop!  If you are looking for a good mascara give this one a try it is AMAZING!!

Get Bikini Ready!

So, everyone that wears a swimsuit needs to make sure they are well-groomed.  If you don’t like to go get waxed, then I suggest trying my favorite hair-removal tool!  Bliss Bikini Perfect Deluxe Trimmer ($70 www.blissworld.com) is the best way to do at home grooming.  I love the epilator because it removes hair from the root and after using it for so long, my hair has stopped growing back.  I like to use it on both my bikini area and my underarms because it does not leave any red bumps or irritation.  Once you start using this regularly, the hair grows back thinner and slower.  Now, the truth is, the epilator can be painful…you do get used to it but if you are really sensitive, there are 4 other options that this product comes with so no worries, you will be taken care of!  I suggest this for travel or if you are a private person.  I like using this because it is cordless and I can do it “on my time” and I don’t have to make an appointment.  Don’t wait, this is a must to look like a supermodel at the beach this summer!!

Sun-Kissed!

I have finally found a great bronzer!!  Let me tell you, the search has been long and it has not been easy.  I am super fair-skinned so it has been hard to find a bronzer that creates that beautiful sun-kissed look!  I hate it when people look like J.Lo from the neck up and a snowman from the neck down, so after trying several products I came across Trish McEvoy Golden Glow Face Color ($35 www.trishmcevoy.com).  There is a soft copper bronzer on one side with a pink shimmery blush on the other.  The best part is that this does not give you a “glittery” look like other bronzers.  You just sweep your brush over the powder and apply it to your cheek bones or any other places you want a little glow.  This is very buildable so you can make it dark or light depending on your mood.  This really brightens up your face and is perfect for summer and fair skin.  If you want to try a bronzer for the first time, this is a great choice, this one won’t make you look ridiculous.  Enjoy adding a little color to your cheeks ladies!!
